Cast Iron Cowboys is a country western band from Ithaca, New York that delivers a gritty mix of classic country, rock and roll, and blues. Known for their high-energy performances, dynamic storytelling, and dance instruction during shows, the band captures themes of rural life, resilience, and the close ties of small-town living. Cast Iron Cowboys bring a spirit of joy and camaraderie to each performance, keeping crowds on their feet and moving from start to finish. The band also makes line dancing accessible to beginners and experts alike with band members teaching dance steps to classics and originals. Comparable acts include Tyler Childers, Allison Kraus, Tedeschi-Trucks Band, and Red Clay Strays. The band plays at diverse venues, from cozy local pubs to large-scale outdoor events, sharing authentic, homegrown music that resonates with listeners across all backgrounds.

Recently put out their first release on all streaming platforms, a four-song EP titled “First Four Miles.” The album is comprised entirely of original songs that were recorded during live performances.

Compiled an 11-song album made up of songs performed and recorded live. The band then worked with their friends to create an album cover, burnt a limited run of 100 CDs, and sold them all.
